BIOGRAPHY

Sired by a hurricane and born of a storm, Cut In The Hill Gang are a solid response to an alarming trend in modern music. Industry suits nervously ask "what do they look like?" or "will we be able to license this to?" while CITHG are busy making vital, integral music that exclaims "damn the business! it won't last."

Doctor Johnny Walker, who tends to the mentally infirm by day, spends his evenings crafting sounds akin to buzz saws and sledge hammers in his masonic lodge retreat. Keeping himself clean cut and freshly shaven he postulates 'It'll give the morticians less work to do in the end.' It's a far sight from the Soledad Brothers, but all things must pass.

First he found 'the Kid'. Playing harmonica with blue grass musicians in kentucky allowed Johnny to collaborate with young Brad Meinerding. The Kid spends all his days dreaming and transferring those dreams to 6 strings that draw blood. "Just play whatever the hell you wanna play" barks Doc Walker. "I am gonna give you an earful of my mind." the Kid retorts.

The next into the fray was Lucky Lance Kaufman. Lucky was the wild card and secret weapon from back woods Idaho. He spent years honing his voice and song writing abilities on genuine American folk music. The secret was that he could bang a drum like he was hitting a punching bag. When all of this was revealed, Johnny importuned, "come and let us break all the expectations set before us! Lucky stated,"all we need to do finish some long overdue business."

Together they vowed to cut all the pretenders down to size. Together they vowed to expose the cowardice rampant in the music business. It is an arduous task as the musical landscape is rife with pigs suckling at the breast of producers, journalists, and labels.

The only label that fits Cut In The Hill Gang is 'Integrity through Music.'
