BIOGRAPHY

"Good garage rock makes you want to destroy" Or so said Thurston Moore.

Using the above criterion, The Hunches' debut album is very goddamn good. Everytime it plays I wanna bust something up. Modern garage rock's trajectory was formulated by the early Cramps. All subsequent combos are measured against their ass-thrashing ruler. While lotsa decent bands have come along, few have pushed the genre's boundaries. The last ones who did were Garage Wolf, the Oblivians and the Lord HIgh Fixers. Now, here're The Hunches, knocking loudly at the walls of the known. They blast extremely hard, post-core, thrash-noise chunklets into The Cramp's Platonic framework, add vocal weirdness, strange raunch-ballad action, and really knuckle the whole mess into a bloody pulp. They even cover the Electric Eels' Accident. And the result are one helluva beautiful wreck."
